
DDD’s Training Unit provides the following training sessions and training materials, free of charge, in order to support statewide providers and caregivers who best serve DDD members.
The Training Materials accessible on this page are intended as samples of acceptable course content for vendors qualified through the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Contents of each item may be used for educational purposes without written permission, but must include a citation to the specified source.
To differentiate from the old Prevention and Support curriculum, the new course is called Providing Respectful Opportunities and Understanding De-escalation (PROUD).
This training covers the requirements and responsibilities of instructors who teach emergency physical support techniques that meet the terms and conditions as emergency measures in Article 9 and is available for all Qualified Vendor Agency trainers preparing to be certified as Providing Respectful Opportunities and Understanding De-escalation instructors.
Complete the Providing Respectful Opportunities and Understanding De-escalation New Instructor Clinic Packet to register. For reference, the 2026 training schedule is shown in the following table.
