

The Office of Licensing, Certification and Regulation (OLCR) issues HCBS certificates. Agencies that provide services to DDD members must have an HCBS certificate. This includes individuals and provider agencies. HCBS certification helps make sure direct care workers are qualified to support people with developmental disabilities.

A Developmental Home is a family home where a licensed caregiver offers 24-hour care for up to three people with developmental disabilities. Services include room and board, habilitation, and personal care. Child Developmental Homes cater to those under 18, while Adult Developmental Homes serve individuals aged 18 and older.
