The Sexual Violence Services Fund provides funding to community-based agencies to support survivors’ journey to healing and safety. Services that agencies provide include, but are not limited to: emotional support, medical accompaniment, support groups, and counseling.
Sexual violence includes any sexual activity that occurs without consent. This could include unwanted touching, sexual harassment, sexual coercion, or rape. Anyone can experience sexual violence.
Survivors of sexual violence can experience lasting impacts that affect their physical, emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. A person that has experienced sexual violence might be feeling a lot of different emotions such as sadness, fear, anger, numbness, and embarrassment. All of these emotions are normal reactions to a traumatic experience.
Sexual violence is never the victim’s fault and support is always available. If you are a survivor or know a survivor and would like to seek support, please contact to the Arizona Sexual and Domestic Violence Helpline or your local sexual violence program. All services are free and confidential.
