Disaster Nutrition Assistance Program
The Disaster Nutrition Assistance Program (DNAP) is a special Nutrition Assistance program which helps people involved in a disaster receive food assistance quickly. In order to operate the DNAP, the President of the United States must declare a "Major Disaster with Individual Assistance" for the area. Also, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) must approve the use of DNAP procedures.
Arizona is currently not operating a Disaster Nutrition Assistance Program (DNAP). In the event that a DNAP is in operation, this webpage will have important contact information and instructions.

In the event that a Disaster Nutrition Assistance Program is in operation, the Department of Economic Security (DES) Family Assistance Administration (FAA) follows the policy and procedures that are found in the DNAP Policy and Procedures in the Cash and Nutrition Assistance Policy Manual.
