In Arizona, the development of a state plan is the responsibility of the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), Division of Aging and Adult Services.

Arizona State Plan on Aging - Revised Interstate Funding Formula, 2023 - 2026
In 2024, the Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) met and consulted with all eight Area Agencies on Aging on multiple occasions to plan, strategize, and develop a revised Intrastate Funding Formula (IFF). The revised IFF was approved by the US Administration for Community Living on June 16, 2025, and took effect on July 1, 2025.

Arizona Aging Population Executive Summary
The report, “Arizona’s Older Ethnic Minorities 2000: A Demographic Analysis,” is a compendium of demographic information about Arizona’s older ethnic minority population. Containing an executive summary and nine chapters, the report is the most comprehensive document of its kind published for Arizona. Included are chapters on the composition, living arrangements, household and family structure, employment, social conditions, income, health status, and service utilization of today's older Arizonans. The report was developed in collaboration with the University of Arizona, Center on Aging.
