The Wilson-Fish Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Coordination Program provides customized, culturally, and linguistically appropriate services to help eligible refugees navigate barriers, become economically independent, and improve their social and economic well-being.
To participate in the Wilson-Fish TANF Coordination Program, you must be referred to the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) by a Refugee Resettlement Agency. If determined eligible, you will be assigned to a DES Cultural Navigator (case worker) who will work with you to develop a customized plan to help you reach your employment goals. Throughout your time as a participant in the TANF Coordination Program, DES will work with the referring Refugee Resettlement Agency to support you on your path to independence and gainful employment.
