It is suggested to first apply for the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) if a child is suspected of having a disability or delay.
If a child is eligible for AzEIP, the Service Coordinator, with permission from the family will assist with the application to DDD. DDD will review records and determine if a child is also eligible for DDD.
Yes. DDD will also suggest the family contact Raising Special Kids and refer them to AzEIP. DDD helps with this process.
Have a significant delay in one or more developmental areas or be at risk for or have one of the following:
The AzEIP team, DDD, and family will work together to coordinate supports and resources for the child and family.
