The Child Support Guidelines Review Subcommittee was formed within the Family Court Improvement Committee to conduct the federally-mandated quadrennial review of Arizona’s child support guidelines and recommended improvements from an interim review.
While reviewing, the subcommittee will study the impact current guidelines have on parents with family incomes below 200% of the federal poverty level, and how that may affect compliance with child support orders. It will also analyze case data surrounding the use of and deviation from the guidelines, as well as the rates of default and imputed child support orders, and orders adjusted from low income.
As a part of this review, the subcommittee welcomes the public, especially low-income parents with child support cases, to comment and share ideas for improving the guidelines. For more information and to comment, please visit the AZ Courts website.
