The Appeals Board conducts final agency review of Unemployment Insurance and Public Assistance cases that are appealed following an Office of Appeals hearing and decision. Appeals from the Board’s decisions are to the Arizona Court of Appeals.
The Appeals Board has original jurisdiction to conduct hearings on appeals from a decision of UI Tax regarding an Employer’s liability for contributions to the Unemployment Insurance fund. Appeals from the Board’s decisions are made to the Arizona Tax Court.
The Appeals Board considers Unemployment Insurance claims filed during a work stoppage or lock-out arising from a labor dispute.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, the Appeals Board hereby states that all meeting notices of this public body and any of its committees and subcommittees will be posted electronically on this website location listed below under the title "Public Meeting Notices and Agendas" and in the lobby of the ASA Appeals Board located at 1990 W. Camelback Road, Suite 200, Phoenix, Arizona. The location is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except legal holidays.
All meeting notices and agendas will be posted at this location at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the meetings.
Minutes will be taken in the form of a digital recording and will be available for public inspection within three (3) working days after each meeting.
