Registration Requirements and Deadlines
Registration with the Arizona Employment Service is required to continue receiving Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits. This registration is included in the online UI initial claim application. In most cases, no extra action is needed.
You may need to take additional steps if both of the following conditions apply:
- You previously registered on the AZ Job Connection Job Seeker page
- Your information does not match current records
If this happens, the department will mail you instructions. You must complete the required steps by the deadline. If you do not, your benefit payments may be delayed or denied.

AZ Job Connection also saves your job search information. This includes career searches and occupations. Your information is stored in an easy-to-use folder system, so you do not need to repeat searches. This saves time and effort.
Registered users can access:
- A personal folder that stores saved searches, settings, and other information
- Career assessment tools, including skills matching to help find suitable jobs
- A home page with personalized news and updates
- Tools to create resumes and cover letters
- Automated job searches that send job listings to your message box, email, or both
