The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Family and Community Resources unit hosted a table at the Phoenix Suns First Annual Disability Expo & Awareness night held on February 27. Family and Community Resource staff members, Richard Kautz and Edd Schommer, were on-hand to provide information about services and programs available from DDD.
The Expo provided an opportunity for kids of all ages who are wheelchair bound to play basketball and other games on the court where the Phoenix Suns play. A tournament was held between the Wheelchair Suns, the Wheelchair ASU and the Jr. Wheelchair Suns teams.
Thank you to Richard and Edd for representing DES at this special event!
