As announced by Governor Ducey, the USDA Food and Nutrition Service authorized Arizona to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Online Purchasing Pilot. SNAP participants will be able to make online purchases for grocery items with authorized SNAP retailers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the ability for vulnerable populations to purchase nutritious foods online will help support the necessary social distancing to help keep families healthy and safe.
DES coordinated with Walmart and Amazon to enable online SNAP purchases. In addition, Arizona is actively working to expand the number of stores that accept EBT online in the future. Once authorized SNAP retailers are EBT-enabled for Online Transactions, participants will see an “EBT” icon on the retailer’s website. They will then be able to add their EBT card in the Payment Method after selecting an EBT-enabled store.

SNAP provides monthly food benefits that help individuals and families buy healthy, nutritious food. Even if temporary, individuals, and families who have experienced a change in their circumstances and need additional help may apply for SNAP.
