DDD Growth Trends and AHCCCS Policy Frequently Asked Questions Public Forum

DDD will share updated information about program growth. In February 2025, DDD hosted public forums that explored the factors contributing to the program’s expansion in recent years. While those factors remain relevant, new data indicates that service utilization among members under age 18 accounts for a disproportionate share of the growth.

As part of its 5-Year Strategic Plan, DDD has published data on its website detailing the Utilization of Attendant Care and Habilitation services for members under age 18. The upcoming forums will provide additional insights into how this growth is impacting the program now and into the future.

AHCCCS will also address frequently asked questions related to policy revisions published on September 3, 2025. These updates affect various aspects of service delivery for ALTCS members under age 18, including changes to the assessment tool used to determine hours for Attendant Care and Habilitation Hourly services.
