Public Comment Rules of Conduct
Please put your name, organization affiliation, and email in the chat when entering the virtual meeting so we may update our virtual sign-in sheet. Please also indicate if you will be providing testimony.
When your name is called, please begin your commentary by clearly stating your first and last name, as well as the organization that you represent.
The protocols for the public comment are as follows:
- DES will not be responding to comments, or engaging in a discussion once testimony has begun. The purpose of the hearing portion of this presentation is to receive public testimony. Please do not interrupt members of the public during their testimony.
- Each individual or group representative may testify once.
- Testimony will be limited to five minutes. Each group or agency may testify once to allow equal opportunity for all, and to accommodate the number of people who may wish to speak, yielding time to another person will not be allowed. ADES will let you know when you have 30 seconds remaining to wrap up your talking points and again to indicate that your time is up.
- The public is asked to refrain from interruptions or commentary as individuals present their testimony.
- Members of the public will be able to provide written comments in lieu of or in addition to today’s public testimony. If you have any additional comments, please send those to the email address [email protected]. Please note the comment period ends 5:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025
