Case Review
The Appeals Board conducts final agency review of Unemployment Insurance and Public Assistance cases that are appealed following an Office of Appeals hearing and decision. Appeals from the Board’s decisions are to the Arizona Court of Appeals.
Tax
The Appeals Board has original jurisdiction to conduct hearings on appeals from a decision of UI Tax regarding an Employer’s liability for contributions to the Unemployment Insurance fund. Appeals from the Board’s decisions are made to the Arizona Tax Court.
Labor Disputes
The Appeals Board considers Unemployment Insurance claims filed during a work stoppage or lock-out arising from a labor dispute.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, the Appeals Board hereby states that all meeting notices of this public body and any of its committees and subcommittees will be posted electronically on this website location listed below under the title "Public Meeting Notices" and in the lobby of the ASA Appeals Board located at 2200 N. Central Avenue, Suite 100, Phoenix, Arizona. The location is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except legal holidays. Such notices will indicate the date, time, and place of the meeting and will include an agenda or information concerning the manner in which the public may obtain an agenda for the meeting.
All meeting notices will be posted at these locations at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the meetings.
