After examining your Monetary Determination, if you do not agree with the wages reported or with the employers listed on your Monetary Determination, you may file a wage protest at any time before the expiration of your benefit year. To ensure benefits are paid correctly and promptly, it is recommended that you file a wage protest within ten (10) working days of the date on your Monetary Determination. You also need to include proof of wages (including check stubs, W-2s, 1099, etc.) for the base period listed in your Monetary Determination. If more information is needed, you will be notified. If you receive benefits based upon wages that you did not earn, you will be liable for repayment, and other penalties may be imposed.
Wages earned in periods of time that are not within the quarters shown on your Wage Statement have no bearing on your eligibility and therefore should not be included in your wage protest.
You can file a Wage Protest online through CACTUS. From your Dashboard navigate to Unemployment Services and click on the icon/link for Request a Redetermination of Your Benefit Amount.
