The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) has been working to improve how you access Arizona’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program. That is why we launched CACTUS, a new self-service portal designed to make managing your UI benefits easier.
Here is What You Can Expect
CACTUS is available starting September 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m (MST) and now all unemployment-related services will be accessible through the new CACTUS portal: https://uibenefits.az.gov/.

Manage Your Benefits with Ease
With CACTUS you’ll be able to:
- File for Unemployment Insurance benefits
- Certify for weekly benefits
- Track and report your work search activities
- Correct or report wages
- Respond to eligibility questions
- Apply for Arizona’s approved training programs
- File or manage appeals
- Upload documents
- Withdraw or reinstate an appeal
Work Search Tracking, Simplified
CACTUS includes a work search activity tracker. You can log your job search activities throughout the week, and when you certify for benefits, CACTUS will pull that data automatically to determine your continued eligibility.
Reminder: To keep your benefits, you need to report at least one job search activity on four separate days each week.
