Whether you’re recently unemployed or have been out of work for some time, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Career Advancement Network (SNAP CAN) Program can help you get the skills and training you need to find a job or get a better job. Our partners in the community can provide you with the resources and services you need to obtain rewarding employment and achieve self-sufficiency.
Programs and Services
As a SNAP CAN Participant, you will have access to employment and training services that include:
- Education and/or vocational training
- Résumé, interview, and job search assistance
- Work experience opportunities
- Community service opportunities
- Supportive Services that may include bus passes, money for books or uniforms, and more
How does it Work?
Once an individual receives SNAP benefits and is referred to the DES SNA E&T Program, they will be notified about services available through SNAP CAN.
If the individual is interested in receiving SNAP CAN services, he or she should contact a SNAP CAN Partner from the list directly below.
