At DES, we are working in partnership with the Office of Economic Opportunity to implement the Governor's vision of a robust and efficient workforce system in the State of Arizona.

DES supports Governor Hobbs’ focus on affordability and on implementing solutions that enhance our efficiency and effectiveness, including:

• Administering the utility assistance component of the Arizona Affordability Fund to help families manage the high cost of housing and utilities and support the working people in our state who are struggling to make ends meet.
• Continued prioritization of system modernization projects, such as the A-to-Z portal, to support program integrity efforts, streamline benefit application processes, and increase efficiency and transparency.

Making a Real Difference in Arizona Communities

DES is proud to advance several initiatives that are already making a difference in communities across the state—and directly support the Governor’s vision for a stronger Arizona, including:

• Strengthening the safety net through improved access to SNAP, child care assistance, and housing supports that stabilize families during times of need.
