Paying Back an Unemployment Insurance Overpayment
Repayments must be made through the DES Office of Accounts Receivable and Collections (OARC). Please note that it is important that you wait 21 days from the date on your Determination of Overpayment before contacting OARC.

Make a payment online
Payments can be made online through the DES Online Payment System. To pay online you will need:
- A valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express), and
- Your DES Account Number (the ten-digit number shown on your monthly billing statement)
To make a payment by phone
Please call (844) 722-6247 or (602) 252-0024 and select option #1.
To make a payment by mail
Mail a check or money order payable to Arizona Department of Economic Security Office of Accounts Receivable and Collections, P.O. BOX 504097, St. Louis, MO 63150-4097. To ensure you receive the proper credit for your payment, please include your Claimant Identification number located at the top of the Determination of Overpayment notice along with your current mailing address.

Yes, If you wish to make payment arrangements, please contact the DES Office of Accounts Receivable and Collections (OARC) by phone at (602) 252-0024 or toll-free at (800) 236-1475 by pressing Option #1. Please wait 21 days from the date of your determination before contacting OARC.
