May is Older Americans Month, an important time to recognize older Americans' contributions, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm our commitment to serving older adults. DES connects older adults to home and community-based aging programs and services, helping provide older Arizonans with opportunities to thrive.
This year, the Older Americans Month theme is “Flip the Script on Aging” which encourages a more positive and inclusive view of aging, challenging stereotypes and highlighting the opportunities and purpose that come with it. This month, we invite you to reflect on some of the positive outcomes a family or friend’s increased longevity has had in your life.
Older Arizonans should be commended for their role in creating and strengthening the fiber of our state and nation.”
