The Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) collaborates with numerous outstanding community organizations, like Encircle Families. As the host of Arizona’s Parent Training and Family-to-Family Health Information Center, Encircle Families plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families with disabilities and special health care needs. Their mission is to empower families to navigate complex systems, access essential services, and help their children thrive.
The nonprofit’s assistance includes guiding parents through special education services, connecting them with other families who share similar experiences, or teaching them how to navigate systems such as healthcare, developmental services, and the transition to adulthood.
“We really see it as a shared commitment to families, where each organization brings a different role but the same goal: helping individuals with developmental disabilities live full and meaningful lives,” stated Christopher Tiffany, the Executive Director of Encircle Families.
Christopher emphasizes the essential role DDD plays in Arizona, noting that the services provided help individuals remain at home, participate in their communities, and build independence.
“Like any large system serving many families across the state, there are always opportunities to continue learning and improving, but what stands out most to us is the dedication of the people working within the system and their commitment to the individuals they serve,” stated Christopher.
