The Arizona Department of Economic Security/Arizona Early Intervention Program (ADES/AzEIP), as the Lead Agency for IDEA, Part C in Arizona, is required to publish its Part C Annual Grant Application for federal funding (including any policies, procedures, and other information required in, and that will be submitted as part of, the application) in a manner that will ensure circulation throughout the State for at least 60 days, with an opportunity for public comment on the application for at least 30 days during that 60 day publication period. The AzEIP IDEA Part C Grant Application is open for comments from February 14 through April 12, 2022, 5:00pm.
The Part C Grant Application is for Arizona's statewide system of early intervention service for infants and toddlers (birth to three years of age) with developmental delays and disabilities, and their families. This program is known as AzEIP. The completed application, with supporting information, must be submitted by ADES/AzEIP to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) each Spring, to ensure that ADES/AzEIP’s IDEA Part C Federal Funds are available for obligation on July 1st each year. Stakeholders, early intervention providers, parents, and members of the public are encouraged to review and provide comment on the application and any new or revised policies and procedures.
The Part C Grant Application will be available for review and comment in 2022.Past copies of the Part C Grant Application for Federal Funds are available upon request from the AzEIP office, contact details are below.
