Welcome, Navajo County!
Effective July 1, 2017, child support services in Navajo County will transition to the state of Arizona. Previously, the Navajo County Attorney's Office was responsible for providing child support services. Now, these services will be administered by the Arizona Division of Child Support Services (DCSS).
To better accommodate Navajo County parents who receive child support services, DCSS has opened two offices within the county:
2500 E. Cooley St.
Show Low, AZ 85901
319 E. 3rd St.
Winslow, AZ 86047
If you have any questions about the pending changes to your child support case, please call the DCSS Customer Service Center at 1-800-882-4151.
Arrears Forgiveness Opportunity
The DES Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) recognizes that there are certain circumstances that make it difficult for noncustodial parents to meet their child support obligations. To help with these situations, the DCSS offers a customer incentive program including a GED/back-to-school incentive and a hardship/forgiveness program.
- GED/back-to-school incentive program
The DCSS support parents who owe child support in furthering their education. If you go back to school to get your High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) any time after July 1, 2014, you may be eligible for a reduction of the monies owed to the DCSS. See the GED Back-To-School Incentive Program for more information.
The DCSS understands that under certain circumstances, noncustodial parents may face challenges that permanently affects their ability to pay current or past-due (arrears) child support. In specific situations, noncustodial parents may be eligible for a total or partial forgiveness of state-owed arrears. See the DCSS Hardship Program Flyer (CSE-1276A) for more information.
