In September 2019, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) partnered with Burns & Associates Inc. to improve the quality of services that our members receive. Throughout the next year, they will be seeking your input and advice on ways to provide high quality services and contract with the best service providers across Arizona. They will be working with the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI), the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities (NASDDDS) and the Community Bridges Consulting Group to help in this process.
The goals for this project are to:
- Promote member self-direction
- Enhance member community integration
- Strengthen the DDD provider network
- Create new, better service models
- Improve timeliness of service delivery
In the first project phase, Burns & Associates will research and listen to stakeholders across the developmental disability community. This will be done through advisory groups, town hall meetings and webinars. In the second project phase new plans and strategies based on their research and input received will be developed. In the final project phase those strategies and practices that best support DDD members and a stronger provider network will be implemented. All three project phases will run through 2021.
DDD and Burns & Associates Inc. have formed a Stakeholder Advisory Council that includes members, families, advocates and service providers. Please contact DDD at [email protected] to request details on ways to participate.
