Effective beginning in August of 2018 the administration of the Independent Oversight Committees (Previously known as Human Rights Committee) was transferred out of the agencies and to the Department of Administration.

The Human Rights Committees are groups of local citizens who provide independent oversight in matters related to the rights of people with developmental disabilities who are supported by the Arizona Department of Economic Security / Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, the Statewide Human Rights Committee hereby states that all meeting notices of this public body and any of its committees and subcommittees will be posted electronically on this website location listed below under the title Public Meeting Notices and Agendas. All meeting notices and agendas will be posted in these locations at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the meetings. Electronic meeting notices of this public body will also will be posted on the Department of Economic Security’s Website at https://des.az.gov/calendar.
