In accordance with A.R.S. § 18-305, the Department provides via the DES website a copy of the formal budget submitted to the Governor and the Legislature on September 1, 2022. The budget submission contains financial information related to fiscal years 2022, 2023 and 2024. In addition, narrative and the fiscal detail associated with the Department’s request for additional funding for future years are included.

This document is a preliminary budget request by the Department of Economic Security for the upcoming fiscal year. The preliminary budget request does not necessarily reflect the contents of the Executive Budget Proposal or budget allocations determined during the legislative process.
